  • Amanda Hills, LCSW

    (she/her) | Director of Behavioral Health

    As a native of Santa Clarita, Amanda is familiar with the community and its' resources. She received her undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, in Liberal Arts with an emphasis in Education. Amanda went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Social Work at the University of Southern California. She has helped children, adolescents, and adults with varying symptoms and diagnoses in inpatient, outpatient, and school settings.

  • Frances Hookstra, LMFT

    Assistant Director of Behavioral Health

    Frances is passionate about assisting others on their mental health journey. She received a BA in Psychology from California State University, Fullerton, then attended Pepperdine University, where she earned her MA in Clinical Psychology, with and Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. Frances has more than 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of settings. She understands it can be difficult to seek counseling, and excels in connecting with people to help make them feel as comfortable as possible in the counseling setting. This allows clients to build a strong therapeutic relationship with her, where they can work with her to achieve their goals and develop valuable skills. Frances utilizes techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Motivational Interviewing in her work with her clients. Frances believes in adapting treatment to meet the client’s needs and utilizing the strengths clients bring as their own unique selves. Frances will provide compassion, support, encouragement, and challenge clients to make positive changes in their lives. She is honored to be part of the Samuel Dixon Family Health Center Mental Health Program as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Assistant Clinical Director.

    Tania Gonzalez, LMFT

    Tania is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and is very passionate about empowering clients to be their authentic selves and live a meaningful and happy life. She graduated from CSUN in 2014 and earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She then went on and competed her Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at University of Massachusetts Global, in 2021. Tania has experience working in community mental health and non-profit organizations providing care to diverse populations and families from different cultural backgrounds. She has assisted clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, cultural issues, relationships, self-esteem, and more.Tania is a firm believer that everyone has the potential and tools to be their authentic self and live a meaningful life. Together, she works with her clients by helping them reach their goals, heal, grow and improve their lives.

  • Juana Perez, AMFT

    Juana is a Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from California State University, Northridge and a masters degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Fuller Theological Seminary. She enjoys working with clients of all ages using a strengths-based approach. She enjoys providing a caring and safe environment as she walks with clients on their healing journey. She has experience working with children, adults and families in outpatient and school-based settings.
